Church of Christ Congregational Food Pantry

UCC stocks a variety of non-perishable and frozen items in the Parish Hall. Food programs for children (SYNC) and families (Dinners in a Bag) are also available. UCC hosts frequent community breakfasts, dinners, movie nights and other special programs which are open to all.

Shane M. Kinsella Memorial Fund

This fund was established in memory of infant Shane Kinsella who died of SIDS. Fund are distributed to children of Goshen to help offset costs associated with camp attendance, extracurricular activities, recreational programs, school programs, college application costs and other needs.

Goshen Free Food Pantry and Little Lending Library

The food pantry is located in the Village Marketplace and is a source of support for Goshen residents facing food insecurity–take what is needed. Donations of goods are always welcome. The Little Lending Library is adjacent to the food pantry.

The library issues a weekly newsletter via email describing upcoming or ongoing programs and featuring suggested reading. Streaming services include Libby (through OverDrive), Hoopla, canopy and the Palace app through the CT State Library. The library has an outreach program and will deliver materials to those who are ill or unable to drive.

GGNF, Inc. may be able to help with home heating, utility payments, home or automotive repairs, medical bills not covered by insurance and other needs unique to individual situations.

UCC Medical Equipment Loan Program

 If you need medical equipment, the UCC Medical Equipment Loan Program is here for you! Located at the United Church of Christ, 8 Bolton Hill Road, Cornwall.

We have a wide range of medical equipment to loan including wheelchairs, hospital beds, lift chairs, walkers, tub-transfer benches, shower seats, and much, much more. Just call our program coordinator to discuss your needs and pickup arrangements. We ask that patrons pick up and drop off all equipment. In exceptional circumstances, we may be able to find volunteers to transport the equipment.

The program is free to everyone in Northwestern Connecticut and surrounding communities.

WE ACCEPT DONATIONS

Equipment: We love donations of clean, gently used medical equipment. Contact Debbie.

The Adult & Continuing Education program offers free classes in English as a Second Language, Citizenship, Basic numeracy & literacy, and high school completion for adults who live in Litchfield County.  Enrichment classes are available in arts & crafts, computers, finance, home improvement, languages, music & dance, personal development, and recreation & leisure both in person and online at a reasonable cost.
