Community Health and Wellness Center

The Community Health & Wellness Center offers comprehensive dental care services, as well as other healthcare related services.  They accept all Medicaid/HUSKY plans, Medicare, Charter Oak Plans, and most commercial insurance for medical services.  They also accept Guardian and Cigna for Dental services and are in the process of enrolling with other insurance carriers.  Financial Assistance is available for those who qualify.

Childrens' Dental Center offers basic dental care for area children ages 1 through 21 who are insured through Title XIX (Medicaid) or HUSKY and children who have no dental health insurance. Services include preventive and restorative care, and oral hygiene education. The center is staffed by licensed dentists and dental hygienists who speak English and Spanish.

The Mission of the Office of the Healthcare Advocate is to assist consumers with healthcare issues through the establishment of effective outreach programs and the development of communications related to consumer rights and responsibilities as members of health plans. The office focuses on: assisting consumers to make informed decisions when selecting a health plan; assisting consumers in resolving problems with their health plans, and identifying and advocating on issues, trends and problems that may require executive, regulatory or legislative intervention.
